I get a lot of spam comments on her, not more than most site I suspect but the past main the has seen a huge increase.

All comments need approval before I post them so nothing will get shown unless I give it approval, the past month has been mental, 1500+ comments. Normally I would just mark them all as spam but recently I read something about excessive back links from comments in blogs and forms will, knock back your google ranking. Anyone able to confirm that?

I so hope it's true, will be great affecting rankings and not having to worry about spam and removal will cost for time and administration :)
